Drinking Water and Hand Washing Stations Installed 

Ministry of Health with financial support from WHO and UNICEF installed two “drinking water stations” and two “drinking water with hand washing stations” in public places. 

Two drinking water stations were installed in two healthcare facilities namely Zhemgang Hospital and Yebilaptsa Hospital. 

The two drinking water with hand washing stations were installed  at the main entrance of the Dzongkhag Administration, Zhemgang and in Tingtibi town respectively.  

The drinking water station for two hospitals are supported by WHO and the drinking water with hand washing stations in the two public places are supported by UNICEF. It was implemented by a private firm, Mawongpa Water Solution Limited based in Thimphu. 

These installations are part of the Ministry of Health’s first phase project for such installations nationwide. It is expected to benefit the general population in many ways and especially in the prevention of COVID-19 infections at large.
