Realizing His Majesty’s noble vision of enhancing food and nutrition security and meaningful engagement of youth and De-sups, Dzongkhag Administration Zhemgang joins the nation in launching the Million Fruit Trees Plantation (MFTP) Program. The day was marked by planting 42 numbers of Temperate seedlings at Tali village under Nangkor Gewog. The inaugural ceremony program was graced by Dasho Dzongdag and attended by Desuups and Tali community.

The plantation program is spearheaded by Dzongkhag Agriculture sector in close collaboration with, ARDC and Geog Administration.

Accordingly, to these, Dzongkhag will plant 20919 numbers of temperate fruit seedlings during March 2022 and 37719 numbers of subtropical fruit seedlings in coming May 2022 which is expected to benefit more than 3000 households and 10 schools.
