Oath-taking Ceremony of the Third  Local Government  members was held today coinciding with the good Zakar on 3rd day of the 2nd month of the lunar calendar with Zhugdrel Phuensum Tshogpa.

The LG officials (Gups, Mangmis, Thromdey thuemi and Tshogpas) committed themselves to serve the Tsa-Wa-Sum with unwavering dedication and determination for the betterment and development of the Dzongkhag at large.

A total of 50 ( 7 Gups, 7 Mangmis, and 36 Tshogpas) from 8 gewogs have taken Oath/Affermation of Office conferred by the Drangpon after which Nachu was administered by the Lam Neten.

The program was held as per the protocols set by the Ministry of Home and Culture Affairs and graced by  Honorable Dasho Dzongdag, Venerable Lam Neten, Dasho Drangpon, Dungpa, Dzongrab Ngotsab and few Sector Heads.

The session concluded with the offering of His Majesty’s Zhabten, Drola-Phenday, Tengay Moenlam, Tashi Moenlam and Choetpai Jaling.

Dzongkhag Administration would like to congratulate all the newly elected members of the 3rd Local Government.
