First Batch Training on Cold Chain Maintenance for the Health Assistants in Upper Kheng
A two-day Training (first batch) on Cold Chain Maintenance for the Health Assistants in Upper Kheng was conducted at Buli Hospital from 28th – 29th January 2022. A total of ten participants (one HA each from all the PHCs and Sub-posts and one HA each from two hospitals) falling under Upper Kheng attended the training program. Mr. Thinley Tobgyal (ADHO), Dzongkhag Health Sector and Mr. Yeshi Wangdi (HA), Yebilaptsa Hospital who all attended the ToT training at Punakha in November last year resourced the training program.
It was organized by Dzongkhag Health Sector in collaboration with Vaccines Preventable Diseases Program under the Department of Public Health, MoH with financial support from UNICEF.
VPDP program is one of the oldest programs in the Ministry of Health and vaccination program in the country is in place since the 1970s. With this training, the vaccination program is expected to bring to a greater height in Zhemgang Dzongkhag.
